My allocation of Henry as a son of John & Ann is a provisional “best guess” until proven otherwise, and is based upon one of the witnesses at Henry's marriage being a James MAPLE. The use of “James” as a given name for the MAPLE family was far less frequent than other names, and James the son of John & Ann appears to be the only one alive at the time of Henry's marriage. My assumption is that the witness at Henry's wedding was his oldest brother James. I am aware that this is a speculative approach but I feel that the circumstantial evidence is worth recording].
