Killed in Action 21 Jan 1916 - Aged 29, buried at Amara War Cemetery - XVII.J.12, [Killed whilst leading his men into action in the advance with General Aylmer's column to the relief of Kut, Mesopotamia]. Also commemorated on the memorial to former students at Wye College, Ashford, (Kent), and on the village memorial at Saltwood (Kent). He married Victoria Marjory Melville SHAW, 8 Nov 1915, at Bombay Cathedral, India.

He married Gladys HEATON, 1 May 1913 at St Stephen, Hackington (Kent), born 1887, died 1974.
